What is shoulder anatomy?

0

The shoulder is one of the most complex joints of the body. The correct anatomy of the shoulder consists of muscles, tendons, ligaments, cartilage and bones, which together form the most mobile joint of our body.

The scapula (scapula) is located at the back of the shoulder and connects to the collarbone located at the front of the shoulder, forming the shoulder-collarbone joint. The humerus (humerus) connects to the pelvis, which is part of the scapula, to form the humerus.

Muscles, tendons and ligaments work together to provide stability, mobility and strength of the arms.

What bones does the shoulder joint have?

The skeleton of the shoulder contains 3 important bones:

  • Shoulder blade (scapula) – connects the arm of the trunk. The scapula is located in the upper back. It has a triangular shape and is flat. The Glena, the part that connects to the head of the humerus, is a component of the scapula. The upper part of the humerus (head of the humerus) connects to the pelvis. The acromion is an extension of the upper part of the scapula that connects to the lateral end of the clavicle to form the collarbone.
The clavicle is a long, curved bone that extends from the sternum to the pubic appendage, where it forms the collarbone. The main function of the clavicle is to ensure the stability of the bones of the shoulder joint. It also serves as an insertion site for most arm muscles.
  • Humerus (humerus) – has a rounded end in the upper part (head of the humerus), which connects to the Acorn, which is part of the scapula. Glena has a fairly flat surface. This allows for very high mobility of the shoulder joint. The shoulder joint depends to a large extent on the ligaments that hold the head of the humerus in the center on the ulcer and thus stabilize the joint.

What are the muscles of the arms?

The rotator cuff consists of 4 muscles and their tendons. These tendons are attached to the upper part of the humerus as a continuous structure, forming a sleeve that wraps around the head of the humerus. This contraction of the muscle sleeve causes movement of the arm. The rotator cuff muscles keep the head of the humerus centered on the surface of the acetabulum by contraction, thus ensuring stability of the humerus. Rotator muscles are:

  • supraspinatus
  • musculoskeletal and connective tissue disorders
  • podszkaplerz
  • small round

The shoulder muscle is a large muscle that covers the front, back and side of the shoulder and works in conjunction with a rotating cap to move the arm.
