Scholarships are designed to reduce friction between muscle and bone, acting as a cushion between bone and soft tissue. Inflammation of the calcaneus usually occurs in combination with rotator cuff changes.

Sometimes shoulder pain can be caused by other localized injuries to the neck or biceps. In such cases, the pain should not increase when moving the arm.
